Dr Vikash Kumar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science, Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, New Delhi (India). He received a Bachelor's degree from Ramlal Anand College, University of Delhi and did a Master's in Political Science from Hindu College, Department of Political Science at the University of Delhi, India. He has been awarded his PhD degree on ‘Role of Political Parties in Bhutan Elections, 2008 and 2013: A Comparative study’ from the Centre for South Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has been a Research Fellow at Indian Council of Social Science Research, Ministry of Human resources Department, New Delhi. He has also worked on the Project of “Delhi Assembly Election Study, 2013” with Lokniti-Programme for Comparative Democracy, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) Delhi, India. He has many publications and Interest Research Area relating to Electoral democracy, Nationalism, Ethnicity, Dalits, Minorities and Women empowerment Issues etc.
